1. Who we are

SecreTie is operated by Secretie.Inc, which decides how your personal data is used. Questions: hello@secretie.chat.

2. What we collect

Account: your email address, member ID (ST-…), sign-in records, and your 18+ confirmation.
Profile: net name, gender, location, your info text, badges, language and theme.
Verification: the live selfies you send and the pose you were asked for.
What you share: posts, invitations, and everything sent in chats: text, stickers, photos, timed photos, voice messages and any other media.
Activity: points earned and spent, invitations, who you block, reports you send or receive, gift boxes, suspensions and bans.
Payments: the package, amount, date and Stripe reference. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
Notifications: your Telegram ID if you connect Telegram, and your device's push subscription if you turn push on.
Technical: cookies that keep you signed in and remember your language and theme; server logs (such as IP address and device type) kept by our hosting providers; and page views counted by Google Analytics.

3. Why we use it

To run SecreTie: your account, posts, invitations, chats, points and notifications.
To keep fake persons out, by checking verification selfies.
To keep members safe: word filters, contact-detail checks, reports, suspensions and bans, and investigating scams, fraud and other illegal acts.
To take payments and keep payment records.
To answer support requests, and to understand how the site is used (page views only).
To meet the laws and regulations that apply to us and to you.

We never sell your personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.

4. Who can see it

Other members see your net name, gender, ✓ verification, the badges you show, your info, and your posts and invitations. Only the other person in a chat sees your chat messages.
Our admin team reviews verification selfies, and may read posts, invitations and chats when handling a report, a safety concern or a legal request.
Service providers who process data for us: Supabase (database and storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (sign-in emails), Stripe (payments), Telegram (only if you connect it) and Google Analytics (page views). They may use it only to provide their service to us.
Authorities, as described in section 6.

5. How long we keep it

While your account is open, we keep your data, including your verification selfies. After you close your account, or after it's banned, we keep all of it, including chats and media, for 3 years, then delete it.

When you close your account, your profile, posts and invitations disappear from the app straight away. The data itself stays on our servers for the 3 years.
We keep it this long so reports of crime, scams and other illegal acts can still be investigated after an account is gone.
Data linked to an open report, an investigation or a legal request is kept until that is resolved, even beyond 3 years.
Timed photos disappear for members after their timer, but stay on our servers under these same rules.
Where the laws and regulations of your location require a different period, we follow them.

6. Safety and the authorities

We may share data, including chat history and media, with police, courts or other authorities when the law requires it, or when we believe it's needed to prevent serious harm or to help investigate a crime, such as a scam, trafficking or violence.

7. Where it's stored

Our providers' servers may be outside your location. When your data is moved to another country, we use providers that protect it as this policy describes.

8. How we protect it

Data travels encrypted (HTTPS).
Members can read only their own private data. Selfies are kept in private storage that only our admins can open.
Only a small admin team has access, and admin actions are logged.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law of your location requires.

9. Your choices and rights

Change your info, language and theme, hide badges, and turn notifications off, anytime in Settings.
Close your account anytime in Settings → Close my account.
Under the laws and regulations of your location, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to object to some uses. Write to hello@secretie.chat; we may need to confirm it's you.
Because of the safety reasons in section 5, we can't delete data early on request, unless the law of your location requires it.

10. Age

SecreTie is for people aged 18 or older. If we learn that a member is under 18, we close the account.

11. Changes and contact

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new date, and tell members in the app about important changes.
